Ranchi, March 10: Delhi Public School, SAIL Township, Ranchi has introduced a dedicated ambulance facility and emergency medical service on its campus to enhance the health, safety and well-being of students.
The initiative was inaugurated under the leadership of Principal Dr Jaya Chauhan, who emphasised the importance of creating a secure and responsive learning environment alongside academic excellence.
First such facility in school’s history
School authorities said this is the first time in the institution’s 36-year history that a dedicated ambulance facility has been introduced on campus.

The ambulance is equipped with modern medical equipment, a stretcher, first-aid facilities and emergency care provisions, enabling immediate medical assistance during health emergencies.
The facility is expected to provide prompt medical response and swift transportation for students during critical situations, further strengthening the school’s student-centric approach.

Focus on student well-being
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Jaya Chauhan said the initiative reflects the school’s commitment to ensuring that students study in a safe and supportive environment.
She noted that student well-being remains central to the school’s initiatives and that the ambulance facility will help ensure quick and efficient response to medical emergencies within the campus.
School authorities said the step reinforces the institution’s efforts to maintain high standards of safety, care and holistic development for students.
With the introduction of the ambulance service, DPS Ranchi aims to further strengthen its reputation as a safe, nurturing and future-ready educational institution.
